Brand, Marketing

Situation

Private label food company, Flagstone Foods, had been hampered by their last holding group unable to flex their full abilities to passionately do what they do best—source and create exceptional snack and trail mixes from scratch or in collaboration with their big box clients. What’s more? They didn’t like any of their current branding and lacked basic tools to stay in front of and relevant to their clients in a growing marketplace. And yet they were hungry and ready to try a new approach. And approach that would earn them credit for their hard work to date as well as evolve and transform them into the best version of their company. They wanted change.

Transformation

We led a multi functional workshop to unlock their brand belief, archetype, cause and mission. This allowed them to process the past, recognize the present and start to dream about the future. We interviewed several stakeholders and collaborated with them to form a cohesive “brand on a page” to help them navigate their business transformation objectively and with confidence. We arrived on a belief they ended up putting on their wall in their main conference room, “Appreciate grows goodness”. By identifying “appreciation” as their main ingredient they were able to make decisions on what was right for their employees, how to speak to their clients, how to effect go-to-market and more. We created a tagline to secure the notion of their healthful products along with the feeling of appreciation. And thus, “Feel Good Snacks” was born. We also led a workshop to explore their brand tone with imagery for identity, typography, color, illustration, iconography and photography. We transformed a flagstone path in their old logo to a human hand carefully selecting a nut from a canopy brought to life with warm, contemporary color, type and image. We filled up their content library from scratch now with over 200 assets to express on web, powerpoint, environment and social.
