This whole thing started back in 2009 during a trip to Haiti. After meeting kids living in incomprehensible circumstances, Jeremy and Krista wanted to work as hard for those children as they do their own.

The premise of Latitude was born during a trip to Haiti when the Carrolls witnessed children living in extremely harsh conditions.

Haiti has an estimated 10.6 million people, making it the second most populous country in the Caribbean. Most Haitians speak Creole, but French is also very common. Though much of Haiti still lives in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake of 2010, the spirit the Haitian people is nothing short of inspirational. They are brave, strong, and spirited people who usher us with generosity and love wherever we go.

Insight trips to Haiti are typically 5 days, giving us time to experience the culture and everyday life, and to meet and be inspired by the people we serve.

It forever changed the lens from which I saw the world from that point forward. ”

Healing Haiti

Healing Haiti is our longest-standing non-profit partnership. They leverage resources to elevate and unify Haitian families so that the cycle of poverty is broken and the fabric of communities is strengthened.

Our hope is to inspire them, but they always end up inspiring us. ”
